Asheron's Call is a MMORPG released in 1999. It is very different from other MMORPGs because it has many different features and is not a copy of Everquest or WoW. It was originally 5 people working in literally, a basement. Microsoft wanted a MMO like Sony did so they bought it. Microsoft did not do good, and the people wanted it back so Microsoft gave it back for around $30,000,000. They continued to develop it and in 1999 they released it. Asheron's Call has a rather large game world. There are no big maps to find everything, so people would have to explore. Levels do not matter as much except with building up skills. Until recently, they had no quest system. It was basically fight monsters and go through dungeons but the NPCs would say something like "Go talk to the blacksmith, and hand him this." but there are no arrows and it's not recorded. We will be on the PvP server, Darktide. PvP is much different. Instead of battlegrounds and factions, you can kill anyone. It was is like real world where you want to team up. Their guild system is called a allegiance. So there are the vassals, people who will give up 10% expereince to the patrons in exchange for help. The patrons would also be vassals and so on until you get to the leader. There are not classes, instead you pick your stats and stuff. They have had some graphics updates since the game is real old. Guild politics matter, as guild would battle over a town and own it non officialy. There is player housing, and since there are not that much people, it is not instanced. Many people, including me think AC is the best MMORPG. On AC, we will be called the United People of Dereth ( UPD ) Jack Daggerstealer/Gamer124 is named Hundreng the Excellent. A downside to the game is that because it does not have many people playing, it is a subscription based game. The good thing is that if you pay $10 then you get the game, its two expansions, and 30 days free. Also all AC subscribers get free to access to the AC 2 Beta, which was rereleased recently. I guess I will change them from a possibility to a vote.
We won't be able to have any allegiances so I dont think it is the best game for the U.I.C. Also, it is not free to play. I reseted the votes.
